Haircuts & Blow Dry

A good cut holds its shape for weeks and falls back into place when you have done nothing to it. That is the whole test. At Daniel Seven Hairdressing on Old Brompton Road, every cut starts with a consultation, because one approach does not suit everyone — hair type, how you dry it, and how much time you have on a weekday morning all change what will work.

Cutting

Whether it is time for something new or maintenance on a shape you already like, the attention to detail is the same. Daniel qualified at the L’Oréal Academy and was awarded there for his cutting technique, after training in Cosenza, Milan, Turin and Florence.

  • Short lady cut and blow dry — £75
  • Long lady cut and blow dry — £80

Blow dry

A blow dry is more than drying hair after a cut. It is where the shape actually appears — the volume, the direction, the finish. We price by length, because length is what takes the time.

  • Express blow dry — £30
  • Medium blow dry — £40
  • Long blow dry — £45–£50
  • Very long blow dry — £50

An express blow dry is the one to book before an evening out when you are short of time. If your hair is long or thick, allow for the longer service — rushing it is how you end up with something that drops within the hour.

Hair up and occasion styling

For weddings, parties and events, styled and pinned to last the day rather than the first hour of it. Hair up from £75. For anything significant, book a trial in advance so the finished look is decided before the morning itself.

Smoothing

If your hair fights you every morning, a relaxing smoother (£100) reduces frizz and cuts down drying time considerably. It is the right treatment for thick or coarse hair that behaves in the salon and nowhere else. More on this on our price list.

What to expect

Your appointment begins with a proper consultation covering the practical side as much as the aesthetic: what you can maintain, what you want to stop doing every morning, and where you want the shape to go over the next few months. We would rather spend ten minutes on that than an hour correcting a decision made in a hurry.
