Colour is the service people travel for, and the one most often got wrong. At Daniel Seven Hairdressing on Old Brompton Road, every colour appointment begins with a consultation — your hair’s history, how much time you actually want to spend maintaining it, and what will suit you rather than what happens to be in season.
Balayage and highlights
Balayage is hand painted, which is why it grows out softly and forgives a missed appointment. It suits anyone who wants depth and movement without a hard regrowth line. Balayage — £130.
Highlights give a more structured, uniform lift. A half head concentrates on the top and sides, where the light hits; a full head takes the colour through the back as well, and is the better choice if you wear your hair up.

Full colour and tinting
For grey coverage, a change of shade, or simply a richer version of your natural colour. Our colourists work with you to evolve a shade over time rather than starting from scratch at every visit.

Toner and gloss
A toner corrects tone: it takes brass out of blonde, warmth out of brunette, or simply refreshes colour between full appointments. It is the least expensive way to make existing colour look considered again. Toner — £60. Finest pigments colour — £60.
We use Davines Finest Pigments, which can be applied as a gloss or mixed to reach a particular intensity, leaving the hair glossy and conditioned rather than coated.
Why Davines
Davines is a family run house based in Parma, which released its own collection in 1996 after years of making products for leading cosmetics companies. Its formulations use high quality natural ingredients — the Finest Gloss is up to 98% natural in origin — and sustainability, respect for its workers and respect for the environment sit at the centre of how the company operates. Colour treated hair takes a great deal of handling, and gentler products are the difference between colour that lasts and colour that fades in a fortnight.
Looking after colour between appointments
Most colour appointments benefit from a treatment on the day. A mask treatment (£20) restores condition immediately after lifting; the super active treatment (£40) goes further for hair that has been coloured repeatedly.
